First of all, Joshua potty trained about 2 weeks BEFORE his 3rd birthday, so he's been using the potty for about 6 weeks now! Woo hoo! No more diapers.

Today I weight Josh and he weighs 33.6 pounds. I got curious and weighed his big sister, Eden. She is 18 months older and weight 36.6 pounds. It will be interesting to see how these two grow and develop over the coming years!

Joshua is a sweet, fun little guy. He plays a lot with Eden and he enjoys time with Momma and Daddy. He is a little snuggle bug at night. Out in public he always wants to be holding a hand. I feel so blessed to be his mommy!

Today is Joshua's 2nd Birthday! This morning we went to watch big brother Dan's baseball game. Above is a picture of Joshua peeking through the fence to watch the ballgame. I got a new HUGE baby pool for him. We are currently filling it up and letting the water warm. After nap he'll get to play in it. He doesn't know it's out there right now. The weather is beautiful at around 82 degrees, so just right for fun today. I will add more pictures!

Here is Mr. Joshua today at 16 months. He is quite a little comedian. He finally learned to walk around 13 1/2 months and he still is a bit pigeon-toed (it's cute) and he also runs like a crazy man. Recently, he has figured out how to open regular door handles, so there's almost nowhere he can't go. We have to watch him like a hawk! Joshua says go, no, yea, mum (his favorite word and I love it!), dog, sest (for Celeste), dad. He understands everything you tell him and he is pretty good, for the most part, about listening to his mommy and daddy. Joshua has a very easy-going temperament and is a fun little guy! We are now expecting his special little sister, Kara Faith, in January 2010. They will be 21 months apart. Joshua is also 18 months younger than his sister, Eden Joy.

Joshua just cut his left top front tooth today. He is 10.5 months old and hadn't cut any teeth since he was 6 months or so. It's been awhile...

Joshua is now 10 months old! I still can't believe it. His first year is almost over and it hurts my mommy heart to think about it. They really do grow up way too fast! He is drinking 4-5 bottles a day, eating 4 jars of baby food, and he loves fruity poofs and cheerios. Joshua is now pulling to stand everywhere he can (and crawling, really fast). He loves to get into cabinets and play with his brothers' cars. He is doing a little better about sleeping through the night and taking naps now. Some days it's just a challenge, though! Joshua's clogged tear duct in his left eye has completely cleared and he does not need surgery (which had been scheduled for tomorrow). God is so good in answering our prayers for healing! He is the cutest little baby ever. I think I have said that will all of them, but it's true!

Joshua is 9 months old now. He is crawling all over the house and opening every cabinet and drawer he can get his hands on. Joshua drinks 4-5 5 ounce bottles a day and eats baby food for breakfast and dinner. He loves the fruit poofs, too! He's not my best sleeper. Joshua sleeps an average of 8 hours per night and rarely takes a long nap. 7:15 never seemed so early! Here are his stats:

Joshua pulled to stand at the cocktail table last night. I was amazed. When he let go with his right hand he did a face-plant into the table. He's more adventurous every day now! They grow up too quickly. Give all your children a hug today!

8 months old today...and sick

Joshua is running a temp today--and last night he was up several times. All the other kids are sick with fevers and a cough, so that's the way it goes. He also has a cough. Josh was supposed to have his eye procedure tomorrow, but we had to postpone it due to illness. It may be February before they can get him back in. I'm praying it's sooner and that he gets well fast! I weighed him on our home scale the other day and he was 20 pounds! He takes 25 ounces of formula a day and about 3 4 oz. jars of baby food. Getting big now!

Joshua weighed 19 pounds, 10 ounces and was 27 inches long today at a check up. He is now 7.5 months old. Josh has an eye appointment tomorrow to check on the horrible clogged tear duct we've been dealing with for months. Thanks to my dear friend, Tammy, we didn't have to wait until February to be seen!

Joshua is 7 months old now. He cut his second tooth this week. (Bottom left) Also, he has finally figured out the crawling thing and is getting around. I'm sure he'll pick up speed in no time. This nutty child is pulling up on things--only into a kneeling position, but we have to watch him. His balance leaves a little to be desired... My thoughts: He will be force to be reckoned with! In other news, he is consuming 4 jars of baby food a day and 5-6 bottles. Prediction: Another Max. My pantry shivers with anticipation...

He has an appt. to see a pediatric opthamologist...in FEBRUARY! This medical system is nuts. I'm praying his eye issue will clear up with nary a return. Barring that, I'm going to call a friend who works in this office and see if we can get him in sooner. (He has a clogged tear duct--layman's terms.)

Here are some pics from Joshua's first feeding. He is now 6 1/2 months old with one tooth. He really didn't like the rice cereal and wanted the bottle more. Today, I added some pears to it and he loved it! The reason I decided to start now is that he is getting up twice a night and I'm beat. He's drinking 7 bottles a day, so I'm adding food to see if there's an improvement on his night waking. Hopefully, Daddy and I will get more rest.

Joshua cut his first tooth yesterday! I discovered it as he was sucking on my finger. Everything goes in his mouth! He is 6 1/2 months old. He ties Dan for the earliest teether. Baby food will follow soon...

Recently, Joshua turned 6 months old. He went in for his check-up with Dr. Kathy and these are his stats:

17 pounds, 6 ounces (50%)

27.25 inches (75%)

Head 44.25 cm (70%)

He is growing up so fast. He has been working on crawling. He rocks on all fours and lunges forward. He's getting around the floor pretty well this way and reaching the toys he wants. Currently he is waking on occasion at night for comfort or a bottle. He was sick a couple of weeks ago and started this, so hopefully he'll stop doing it soon ;). Joshua is a very happy baby!

At 16 weeks Joshua can roll over both ways. He can grab his feet. In fact, he is a very grabby baby! He has quite an urge to put things in his mouth and is definitely a "nukkie" baby. Josh goes to bed around 10ish and sleeps until around 8 a.m. every night. Yay!

Okay, what a sweetie Joshua is! The past 2 nights he has slept 10 hours! (Yessss!) I wanted to update a couple photos of him and show how he is growing and changing. I stopped breastfeeding 3 weeks ago and am now regretting my decision. He was nursing and then taking bottles after each session because I wasn't making enough milk. Believe me, I tried! I'm not sure I have the fortitude to relactate... But whatever happens I'm so blessed to have Josh!

I am 10 pounds (50%), 22 inches long (60%), and my head is 37 cm (60%). At 5 weeks old I started smiling more and learning to coo. I am very cute...at least that's what my mom says!
